On Constellation S1E5, “Five Miles Out, the Sound Is Clearest”
After injuring Magnus, Jo takes Alice and runs away. Along the way to the cabin we saw in the first few episodes, Jo stops and steals the CAL device, enlists Ilya to help her track down astronaut medical records, visits the Skagerrak Marine Observatory to learn about their recordings of accidents in space, talks to Alice about her fear of The Valya—a vision of a dead cosmonaut—and hears proof of Irena (The Valya) dying in space.
Henry struggles with Bud trying to break into his reality, with Bud becoming increasingly more aggressive.
While at the cabin, Jo hears the voice of one version of Alice both in the cabin and on the tapes, but the Alice she is with says that it’s not her voice that Jo hears.
- Stealing the CAL device
- Ghost tapes
- Thoughts on Alice and Alice in Wonderland
- On Henry, Bud, and quantum entanglement
- A follow-up on the Hugo Simberg paintings
