On Silo S2E1, “The Engineer”
This episode written by Graham Yost, directed by Michael Dinner. Silo is taken from a series of short stories by Hugh Howey.
Season 2 opens with a flashback showing the uprising of a rebellion by the occupants of a different silo than we saw in Season 1. These rebels forced their way past the armed guards and all made their way outside where every one of them perished and exposed their silo to the dangers of the outside.
After leaving the area around her home silo, Juliette discovers this abandoned silo many years later and decides to explore what is inside. Besides thousands of corpses, she finds the lower levels of his silo flooded and the bridge to IT destroyed. Juliette builds a way across where she finds a locked vault. A man inside the vault warns her if she tries to open the door he will kill her.
In another flashback, young Juliette joins Mechanical where she becomes a trash sorter and begins to befriend Shirley and apprentice under Walker.
