On Silo S2E6, “Barricades”

This episode was written by Jeffrey Wang, and directed by Michael Dinner. Silo is taken from a series of short stories by Hugh Howey.

Bernard has cut off deliveries of supplies and food to the lower levels, and the people affected are ready to take action. Knox had a whole host of weapons made so they can confront the Raiders at the barricades on level 130. Mechanical devises a plan to break open the barricades and chase the Raiders back up the silo. Once they reach level 120, Mechanical backs off and agrees to this being the new barricade, having secured a farming level on 122.

Lukas Kyle tries to use a cipher to decode the letter from Salvador Quinn, and Bernard realizes he needs him around more so makes him his shadow so he can see the Legacy.

Billings is getting more and more involved in the investigation. He gets Pete Nichols to come treat Patrick Kennedy. Kennedy then tells Billings what he thinks is true about the outside. Billings finds Walker, Knox, and Shirley but refuses to turn them over to Bernard until his investigation is over.

Camille is also going behind Bernard’s back by helping Sims and Mechanical to achieve what they want.

The episode ends in Silo 17 where Juliette wakes up to Solo telling her he hid her helmet and will give it back after she fixes the water pump that can stop Silo 17 from flooding.
