On Silo S2E7, “The Dive”
This episode was written by Katherine DiSavino, and directed by Michael Dinner. Silo is taken from a series of short stories by Hugh Howey.
Bernard takes Lukas to the vault and we finally see what is inside. The vault contains countless books and artifacts from human history as well as an algorithm that contains information about human history. This includes that the silo was built 352 years ago, but no information remains about why or how it was made.
Mechanical fires a device into the upper levels containing messages that the people of the silo should not trust IT. They shut down the power to the Silo, revealing that IT still has power.
Bernard confronts Sims and tells him about his wife playing both sides which causes Sims to confront her. They promise to tell each other everything going forward.
Walker is distraught over Carla still being in prison, so she decides to turn on her camera to try and get her a message, but it is intercepted by Bernard.
In Silo 17, Juliette dives down many levels to fix the water pump after she and Solo figure out a way for her to breathe and see down there. Her air is cut off while underwater and when she resurfaces she finds Solo missing and evidence that someone else might be in the silo.
