On Silo Season 2 Episode 8, “The Book of Quinn”
This episode was written by Remi Aubuchon, and directed by Amber Templemore. Silo is taken from a series of short stories by Hugh Howey.
In Silo 17, Juliette is stricken with the bends and must go back in the water instead of hunting for Solo and his attackers. When she surfaces again, she is shot with an arrow but manages to escape. They eventually find her and threaten to kill her just like did to Solo.
In Silo 18, Lukas Kyle is searching through Judge Meadows’s books to try and crack Salvador Quinn’s code, which leads him to some of Quinn’s descendents. They are ashamed of Quinn, but after Bernard tells Lukas that Quinn actually instituted 140 years of peace, Quinn’s descendents admit that it is Quinn’s copy of the pact that he needs. Lukas finds it and begins to decode Quinn’s message.
Walker, wanting to get Carla back, meets with Bernard and agrees to be his spy in order to help Carla. She sells out her Mechanical friends who are captured while they try to raid Supply for resources.
Sheriff Billings’ wife learns that he saved a picture of the Before Times from a book and demands to see it.
- The Pact is the cipher, or just Quinn’s copy?
- Speculation about the new faces in Silo 17
- Reflections on what Walker does
