On Severance Season 2 Episode 4, “Woe’s Hollow”
Episode 4 is written by Anna Ouyang Moench and is directed by Ben Stiller
The members of Macrodata Refinement all wake up outside on a frozen lake for a two-day Outdoor Retreat Team Building Occurrence (ORTBO). They learn of Dieter Eagan and the Fourth Appendix of the Lumon Handbook, written by Kier Eagan, that explains one of the tempers: Woe.
The handbook leads them to Woe’s Hollow, where they meet with Mr. Milchick and Miss Huang at a campsite. Helly mocks portions of the Handbook, which then leads to Irv confronting her about inconsistencies in her story during the OTC. Helly brushes off Irv as someone who is bitter about losing Burt, and he storms off and sleeps in the woods.
That night, Helly and Mark have their own sexy version of the Overtime Contingency, but Mark sees visions of Gemma while with Helly. In the morning, Irv ambushes Helly and calls for Mr. Milchick while he begins to drown Helly, claiming he knows she is an Eagan. Milchick radios for the “Glasgow block” to be removed and Helena Eagan turns back into Helly, saving her life.
Mr. Milchick immediately fires Irv and changes him back to his outie (?), sending him on his way in the frozen forest alone.
