On Severance Season 2 Episode 9, “The After Hours”

Episode 9 is written by Dan Erickson and is directed by Uta Briesewitz.

Mark and Devon meet with Cobel, who warns them about what happens to Gemma if the Cold Harbor file is completed. Milchick calls Mark to try and get him to come to work, but Mark tells him he needs a day and promises to be at work tomorrow. At night, Mark, Devon, and Cobel go to the birthing cabin to wake up Mark’s innie.

Milchick, in addition to trying to track down Mark, oversees Miss Huang’s graduation from the Wintertide Fellowship and stands up to Mr. Drummond, who is furious when Mark does not come to work on the day Cold Harbor was supposed to be completed.

Gretchen confesses to outie-Dylan about her feelings for innie-Dylan, and outie-Dylan says he is going to quit. Gretchen then comes to see innie-Dylan and tells him she can’t come anymore. This makes innie-Dylan resign from Lumon, even when Helly tries to convince him to follow the Exports Hall clues Irving left for him.

Irving finds Burt in his home going through his Lumon files. Burt—who used to be a Lumon driver—takes Irv to a train station, buys him a ticket and tells him to never come back. They share their feelings for one another, but Irv still leaves.

Helly takes up the job of trying to find the Exports Hall, but is surprised when Jame Eagan shows up on the severed floor.
