Verity tells everyone she is looking for a job at the company in R&D, and she is hired soon thereafter. Maria begins experiencing unexplainable differences in her work and her personal life. These inconsistencies increase and begin to impact her life. When mistakes Maria makes eventually makes her lose her job, she begins to suspect Verity is the one causing all of it because of the way Maria treated her in school. After being fired, Maria breaks into Verity’s home and discovers she has created a quantum computer that can reshape reality however Verity wants, and she has been using it on those who bullied her. Maria is able to kill Verity, and she takes control of the computer, and changes her reality to be the empress of the universe.

A company called ReDream decides to remake a classic movie, Hotel Reverie, with actress Brandy Friday. This will be done by an AI technique that puts her consciousness inside the movie with all of the other original actors. Brandy stars alongside Dorothy Chambers in the lead roles and they fall in love while making the movie. When the technology using to make the movie breaks, Brandy and Dorothy are stuck inside the world Hotel Reverie while everyone else is frozen around them. Dorothy begins to understand who she really is, but after she and Brandy spend many days together, the movie resets and Dorothy doesn’t remember the time spent with Brandy. Brandy and Dorothy improvise a new ending to the movie where Dorothy dies, leaving Brandy heartbroken. After the movie is made and is a success, ReDream sends Brandy an AI simulation where Brandy can talk to Dorothy on the phone at anytime.
