Alien: Earth Season 1 Episode 4, “Observation”
Created by Noah Hawley, written by Noah Hawley and Bobak Esfarjani, and directed by Ugla Hauksdóttir.
There’s a lot of observing and experimenting going on in the Prodigy labs right now with the hybrids and the aliens they have captured.
Wendy learns that she can hear the xenomorphs and that she can translate it into a frequency humans can hear. Kirsh and Toodles allow the eye-monster alien to infect a sheep, which increases its brain function and adds intelligence. Later, Wendy sees the lung with the implanted xenomorph larva explode, releasing a baby xenomorph into the lab. But Wendy is able to calm it down and communicate with it.
Nibs believes she is pregnant and shares the news with Dame Sylvia.
Joe Hermit tries to quit Prodigy because of how Wendy is treated, but Atom tells him he will be charged for his new lung and never see his sister again if he leaves.
Morrow continues to communicate with Slightly (which Kirsh observes), and tries to convince him to come up with a plan to steal the eggs. Morrow then threatens Slightly’s mother and tells Slightly he must lead a human into contact with the eggs. Slightly identifies Joe as the one he wants.
