On the Season 1 Finale of Pluribus, S1E9, “La Chica o El Mundo”

Created by Vince Gilligan, written by Alison Tatlock & Gordon Smith, directed by Gordon Smith

On day 71 after the Joining, Kusimayu assimilates into the Others with the help of her Peruvian village. After she does, they pick up and vacate the village altogether.

On day 60, Manousos arrives in Albuquerque, but Zosia doesn’t want to be around when he reaches Carol. Using a translator app, Manousos conveys to Carol that he wants to either reverse what has happened or destroy the Others. Carol tries to convince him that they are not evil and are still human inside.

When Manousos learns about Zosia, he demands to speak to her. Carol makes her leave after Zosia answers many of his questions, but Manousos asks for another person, and is sent Rick. When Zosia begins convulsing, Carol finds Manousos causing the Others to seize, while using a radio frequency to try to convert Rick back to who he was.

Carol then leaves with Zosia, where they take a two-week vacation around the world, and Carol admits how happy she is. Zosia promises her it’s just the tip of the iceberg, and she will be much happier when she joins them. Zosia admits they are working to assimilate Carol using stem cells from her frozen eggs, and she has maybe two or three months before they do.

Carol has Zosia bring her back home with a large crate containing an atom bomb, and tells Manousos that he wins, and it’s time to save the world.
