The episode opens with the aftermath of an explosion outside the Berlin train Sam Nelson hijacked, which prompts Sam to demand that Ada get the train running and deliver a photo of John Bailey Brown in Berlin within 30 minutes.

However, Freddie is still alive as Sam created another explosion as a diversion, and hopes he can get the information he needs before the authorities figure out what happened.

At the command center, the police and British intelligence discuss JBB’s role in the Kingdom Airlines hijacking, and how this is the one-year anniversary of Sam’s son’s death. They believe Sam thinks JBB killed Kai and wants revenge.

The authorities find out that no one died in the train explosion, while Olivia also discovers that the footage of JBB entering the country has been deleted by Faber. Faber admits they are holding JBB before extraditing him to Britain.

Sam gets the pictures of JBB sent to his phone, but we learn that Sam is actually being blackmailed and is being forced to hijack the train because his ex-wife’s life is in danger. Sam learns his next mission is to try to get JBB on the train with them.

Sam realizes the train is rigged with a bomb, and while he tries to calm down Otto, Freddie tries to call for help, but someone steps in and kills him before he can.

Sam uses Freddie’s body as a way to get past the authorities and tells them about the bomb on board. While the train pulls away, everyone onboard sees the dead body, and they begin to understand they’re part of a hijacking.
