On Paradise S2E6, “Jane”
Written by Nadra Widatella and directed by Liza Johnson
In 1997, a man receives a message about a baby that will be born on a specific time and date, and that she will be “a killer.” Jane Driscoll is born at this time, and the man confronts her mother about the message. Jane’s mother goes on to mistreat her during her childhood because of this warning.
In secret service training, Jane seems to discover more about her purpose, but she ends up attacking and grotesquely injuring a colleague who got a promotion instead of her mentor.
In the present, Redmond sends Driscoll to deliver the terms of negotiation to Link and his group outside the bunker, and Jane gains Redmond’s approval. Anders, Jeremy, and Robinson team up to try to escape the prison after Anders tells Jeremy the doors of the bunker will open if the oxygen supply can be cut. Torabi tells Jane she knows all about Redmond and promises to come after her.
Near Atlanta, Collins gets ready to set off a bomb near the train, but Gary sabotages it and causes the bomb to go off early. Narrowly escaping the explosion, Xavier sees Teri among a crowd of people pointing guns at him.
