On Paradise S2E7, “The Final Countdown”
Written by Melissa Glenn and directed by Hanelle M. Culpepper
Before the volcanic apocalypse, Redmond and President Bradford take a tour of the bunker with Anders, learning about its redundancies and fail-safes. Bradford warns a confident Redmond that every empire falls over time.
After the explosion at the end of the last episode, Xavier and Teri reunite, and Teri convinces them that Xavier is not there to harm the train group. After sharing information about the bunker, Xavier and Teri go to get Bean from Gary and get Annie’s baby before heading out with the group to Colorado.
In Colorado, Torabi confronts Redmond about “Alex,” but is dismissed. Driscoll attempts to kill Torabi, but Torabi anticipates it and stabs her first. Jane’s fate is unknown at this point.
Anders, Jeremy, and Robinson begin to destroy the bunker’s oxygen supply, but at the same time, the council orders a full lockdown after learning in her meeting with Link that they have come for Alex.
Redmond learns Link’s name is Dylan and shares the same birthday as her son, so she begins to believe Link might be an adult version of her deceased child.
- Can this all make sense?
- What does Alex do?
- Quantum theodicy?
- Thoughts on Teri and Gary
