On Widow’s Bay S1E0, “We Hope You Enjoyed Your Time!”
Written by Katie Dippold, Directed by Hiro Murai
As everyone shelters from the storm pounding Widow’s Bay, Patricia and Wyck try to divide up rations and keep everyone calm while they ride out the storm.
While there, Dale discovers videos that explain the island has been sacrificing people for years, Sheriff Bechir’s wife goes into labor, and Evan and his friends explore the tunnels where they come across the mysterious chair underground.
While there, Ken, the custodian, finds them, and the teens lock him inside, where something emerges and drags him through the cellar doors.
At Ruth’s house, Tom finds she is completely healthy and active, and even helps people around her community, causing him to become conflicted about killing her and ending the island’s curse. Tom eventually poisons her tea, and she drinks it right before telling Tom about an affair she had that led to the birth of Tom’s wife, Lauren. Tom suddenly realizes that Evan is the last remaining descendant of Richard Warren.
Ruth survives the poison, but Bechir shows up and shoots her because he does not want his child born on an island that’s cursed. The following morning, the storm has passed, but the church bell rings eight times, signaling that new deaths are required.
