Traitors: New Blood, NBC (9/17) and Peacock (9/18)
In The Traitors, a group of contestants arrives at a castle in Scotland to play a game where the “Faithful” can win large amounts of money if they vote out the appointed “Traitors” before the traitors can murder or deflect suspicion onto everyone else in the house and take the money for themselves at the end.
The contestants complete challenges each day to earn money for the prize pot, followed by a roundtable in the evening where they vote out a suspected traitor, and then a late-night turret meeting where the traitors choose a faithful in the game to “murder.” Until the final day, contestants reveal if they are a traitor or a faithful when they are voted out.
Traitors: New Blood is the fifth season of American contestants, but the first to include only “civilians.”
- On the tendency to take the Traitor perspective
- Thoughts on strategy for Traitors
- Thoughts on strategy for Faithfuls
We conclude the podcast with a brief discussion of the trailer for Silo Season 4, which was released immediately after the Season 3 finale aired last week. Season 4 is set to premiere on July 9, 2027, and the trailer might give more information about what’s to come than we wanted, but we’re also really excited based on what’s in it.
Next Time on The TV Obsessive Podcast…
