I want to love American Horror Story again. I need you to understand that before anything else, because it colors everything I am about to say. I loved this show once, fully and without irony, back when a haunted house or a coven could still surprise me. Then Hotel arrived and my enthusiasm cooled. Roanoke […] More
In the spirit of October and all things spooky, I turned back to American Horror Story, the show which an FX preview constantly reminds me is the show that “redefined a genre,” and maybe that’s true—its anthology horror structure makes for a new and terrifying start every season as it attempts to forge new ground. Most avid television viewers can rattle off a list of their favorite shows. Many of us can take that list and narrow it down to a few classic shows that will stand the test of time to us. Then, there’s that next layer of obsessives who take things a little bit further and examine their […] More
The magical aspect of television is that it allows you to sometimes express your emotions by demonstrating how you relate to a certain character, or how a particular plot line pulls at your heartstrings. The more I hear of American Horror Story: 1984 the less excited I get for it to start. It does pain me to say that as I’ve been a devoted viewer since day one, but there’s no denying the show has changed for the worse in recent years. I barely made it through Roanoke and […] More

Announced via an Instagram post we see their cast in their costumes from the show. Honestly, I don’t know whether I […] More
While we still know very little about the plot of the upcoming ninth season of American Horror Story we do know that returning main cast members are dropping like flies. After learning that Evan Peters won’t be returning at all, it’s now reported that Sarah Paulson won’t be appearing in any sort of significant role. […] More
After months of speculation, we finally know the theme for the upcoming ninth season of American Horror Story with Ryan Murphy announcing the theme himself by posting a brief teaser trailer via his Instagram page. It’s not really what I was expecting but the theme is simply titled “1984″. Strangely, my first thoughts weren’t of […] More
