- Jonathan Majors will be in Loki Season 2 just as originally planned
On Mad Men S4E7, “The Suitcase”
“The Suitcase” revolves around Don and Peggy sharing a late night at the office working on the Samsonite account. It’s Peggy’s birthday, but Don doesn’t know that. When he learns, he tells her it’s time to get over birthdays. Peggy misses dinner with her boyfriend Mark and the two break up. Don gets a call from Stephanie that he eventually returns, learning that Anna has died. The May 25, 1965 fight between Sonny Liston and Muhammed Ali serves as the backdrop for the episode.
Ryan has seen the first couple of seasons of Mad Men, but didn’t make it this far for reasons unknown. Thus, Caemeron promises not to talk about how the series ends, but comes kind of close anyway. Focusing on the episode at hand, we discuss Don and Peggy’s relationship at length and how it relates to the themes of the show as a whole, along with surrounding plot elements such as what has happened between Duck and Peggy and the shakeup leading to Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce.
Next Time on The TV Obsessive Podcast:
Ryan makes his second selection with Breaking Bad‘s “Ozymandias.” Tune in next week for a deep dive into the episode, along with our usual news and notes.
