On Constellation S1E8, “These Fragments I Have Shored Against My Ruin”
Jo is taken to a facility run by Irena that treats astronauts who are experiencing a condition known as “astronaut burnout.” This condition is not known publicly, but there is at least one other person in the facility besides Jo.
When Ilya visits Jo, he tries to get her to escape, but she instead searches through the building and finds another patient, who Irena tells her was the first person ever to go to space.
The Alices in both worlds try to come to grips with the fact that neither has their mother anymore, or a mother who is truly hers. They talk with their respective fathers about it and try to gain some clarity and peace about the situation.
Jo and Magnus finally talk and Jo reveals she is pregnant and wants to have the baby, but is not sure what will happen if she takes the pills that are supposed to make her better.
Bud tells Irena he has been switched and begins to take over Henry’s life.
Henry is arrested for the murder of Ian Rogers and the attempted murder of Paul.
Paul wakes up in the hospital disoriented and confused.
In the last scene inside the ISS, the corpse of Jo who died wakes up as some sort of zombie-like creature, much like the Valya.
